Pendoo X8 Android TV Box

First thing that caught my attention is just how small this thing is. My last Android TV box was a Nexus Player, and this thing is way smaller. Like the size of a deck of cards. Not really a bad thing, but it's like you could lose it easily in a nest of cables.

Setup was pretty easy. At the home screen, you're greeted with a big fuck-off icon to check for updates. Seeing as how it comes out of the box with Android 7.1, I don't think that big update button will ever do anything.

All the usual suspects come preinstalled, Kodi, YouTube, Netflix. Signing into stuff is a pain in the ass with the on screen keyboard. I'd recommend adding a bluetooth keyboard if you don't want to throw the tiny clicky remote at the wall. There's an app to use your phone as a remote, but I'm sure it's some shady shit you gotta install on your phone so no thanks for now.
